Richard Marquis was the father of April Trocki of Windsor, ME, formerly of Salt Lake City.

Richard M. “Dick” Marquis, Jr. – age 65, of Bangor Street Place, died October 22, 2020 at Maine Medical Center in Portland after a brief illness.

He was born in Gardiner, Maine on May 19, 1955 the son of Richard M. Marquis and Hazel A. (Moody) Marquis.

Dick attended Gardiner schools and worked at R.M. Marquis Shoe Co. for several years, along with Newark Paperboard Products and finally at C. N. Brown.

Dick loved spending time at camp, being at the bowling center where he bowled and was a youth coach and on the golf course. He liked to travel, especially to Nashville and on to Memphis to see Elvis’s home.

Dick is predeceased by his parents, grandparents, several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Rebecca (Drew) Marquis of Augusta, ME; his son, Chase Marquis of Belfast, ME; a daughter, April Trocki of Windsor, ME; mother-in-law Marion Hoar; brothers-in-law: Frank Drew (Camilla), Victor Drew (Faye) and Rodney Drew (Pat) all of Island Falls, ME,; sister-in-law Sharman Drew-Ball (John) of Aurora, CO; 5 grandchildren; one uncle, several nieces, nephews and cousins; one brother, Kenneth Marquis (Laurie) of West Gardiner, MI.

He was loved and liked by all of those who knew him. He will be greatly missed.
There will be no public visiting hours. A private graveside service will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery. Gardiner.
